The end of a school year is always marked by a lot of emotion. In G6 (6 years old), the children have an even more special reason to celebrate: the end of the Early Childhood Education cycle.
The families of the G6 classes were invited to attend a presentation in the auditorium of Campus on a very happy morning. Opening the meeting, the Educational Director Audrey Peverelli, and the general coordinator of Early Childhood Education, Elizabeth Conte, talked about the challenges and achievements of the children’s journey from the time they first entered Beacon until the conclusion of this segment. Next, the grade coordinator, Elisa Garcia, shared with the families the learning through the Units of Inquiry and the development of the attributes of the IB student profile.
The Music team led the presentations of the songs “Blackbird” by the Beatles and then “I’m Singing in the Rain” by Gene Kelly. In both, the children sang and danced wearing accessories that made the show even more graceful and fun. Teacher Max Schenkman invited the audience to participate with body percussion, composing the rhythm and beat of the songs and making the families understand the children’s musicalization process.
Keeping up the excitement, the pedagogical team shared memories of the students’ schooling trajectory, transmitted in a video and a souvenir box containing their pictures since the beginning of their academic lives.
The End-of-Cycle celebrated the achievements and experiences of Early Childhood Education. Now our students are ready for the next challenge of this new stage: Elementary School.
