Beacon School presented two papers at the 6th “Seminário Web Currículo” at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), conducted by the Graduate Program “Education: Curriculum”, from the College of Education. This year, the themes chosen were education and humanism.
In partnership with the Educational Technology and Professional Development areas, Aline Gomes and Lais Carvalho presented the paper “Formação para Todos: Projeto de Inclusão Digital dos Funcionários de uma Escola Básica”. The presentation focused on the training performed with Beacon’s administrative staff and operational leaders, which main objectives were to promote digital inclusion and empowerment; fair access to knowledge; streamline the performance and improve time management in the workplace.
The second paper was presented by Maria Eduarda Menezes and Zilda Kessel, both from Beacon’s Educational Technology area, and the theme was “Currículo de Tecnologia Educacional para Escola Básica: o Papel da Pesquisa na Construção de um Projeto”. The presentation aimed to discuss the process of implementing the technology curriculum at Beacon, its difficulties and achievements.
Beacon encourages its professionals to participate in conferences and seminars, because it is the exchange of experiences that strengthens the knowledge and helps us to build an even better school.
