The conception of Beacon’s space reflects essential elements of the school culture: an environment that places the student at the center, encourages the construction of relationships, promotes interaction, and guarantees accessibility for all members of the school community. The space promotes environments of creation, investigation, and exploration that are suited to the needs of each age group and that welcome both individual and collective work. The architecture contributes to the learning process by allowing students to interact with different forms and materials. The knowledge acquired continually transforms the space through student intervention, making them a source of inspiration and also a record of the students’ work. Beacon has three units: Campus, Villa, and Berlioz.
Designed for students from G6 a Y12, this unit includes arts, technology and music hubs, libraries, a 400-seat auditorium, an amphitheater, a gymnasium, outdoor courts, a soccer field, laboratories, playgrounds, plazas, dining halls, and various communal spaces. There is a building dedicated to High School education and classrooms equipped with the latest technology.
