Considering the holistic development of students and with the aim of expanding opportunities for experiences and learning beyond regular school hours, Beacon School offers Elective Programs throughout the school year, as well as during vacation periods.
For students from Early Childhood Education to High School, Beacon offers a wide range of Elective Activities that include sports, arts, technology, as well as wellness and sustainability. These activities aim to help students develop various skills, explore different areas of interest, and achieve autonomy through their choices.
Offered to students aged 2 to 11, during the counter-shift or after regular school hours, the program provides a balance between individual and group activities, as well as free and guided activities. The format is flexible, allowing families to choose the days of the week and times when their children will stay at school. Winter Camp: In July, we offer fun-filled vacations that include games, recreational activities, sports, arts, and cooking, along with field trips and live performances.
We aim to introduce sports as a means of integrating students and enhancing their physical and mental abilities for each type of activity.
Beacon values Competitive Sports and their benefits in the holistic development of our students. This includes strengthening ethical principles such as respect for rules and others, as well as promoting sportsmanship, cooperation, commitment, and teamwork. We emphasize that commitment and regular attendance in practices and games are crucial for the formation and improvement of the team's sports level.
Exploring the diversity of art through theater, dance, music, circus, photography, and magic. Each form of expression is a gateway to imagination, allowing individuals to dive into unique worlds and emotionally connect with the world around them. Art transcends borders and languages, inspiring our students and provoking thoughtful reflection.
At Beacon, STEM education is essential for preparing students for the future. In Chess, strategic and problem-solving skills are developed, which are fundamental for mathematics and science. The Math Circle deepens mathematical concepts that are crucial for scientific thinking. In the Tech Lab, students apply this knowledge to practical projects focused on technology.
Nature is essential for the physical and psychological development of children, providing relaxation and well-being. With a focus on education for sustainability, we offer scientific experiences, arts, gardening, and motor games as a way to connect with nature, study the environment, and learn about animals, the human body, health, and ecosystems. Students develop socio-environmental awareness and explore viable paths to building a more sustainable future.
